Shell House was conceived taking three factors into account:
- The land: the plot has an irregular form and a steep slant making in difficult to build on
- The extraordinary view of the lake that must be enjoyed and be part of every created space
- The orientation of the sun must be considered in order to enjoy as many hours as possible of natural lighting throughout the different volumes of glass

Taking these parameters into consideration, a shell-formed structure was designed adapted to the form of the land, generating light ways in accordance with the sun’s trajectory taking advantage of over 180 degrees of direct view of the lake.
